Hit-Run Crash Leaves Pedestrian Critical, Ocean County Prosecutor Says
Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured. The male victim was trying to cross Route 9 at First Street in a marked crosswalk around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 16 when he was struck by a white sedan heading north, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. The white sedan continued northbound on Route 9 and left the scene. A pedestrian was hospitalized with a head injury after being struck by an SUV just off Route 17 near MetLife Stadium, authorities said. A 42-year-old Hawthorne driver was making a left off the northbound highway onto Paterson Plank Road when her 2020 Chevy Equinox hit the 29-year-old man shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, East Rutherford Police Chief Dennis Rivelli said. Reward Offered In Hit-Run That Left Halloween Trick-Or-Treaters Seriously Hurt
Authorities in North Plainfield are offering a $1,000 reward for a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Halloween night that left two pedestrians seriously injured. The cash will be given to anyone who has information leading to an arrest for the person responsible for hitting the 7-year-old boy and 21-year-old woman at Mountain Avenue and Jeffries Place around 6:20 p.m., Somerset County Prosecutor John P. Police in Brick Township seek the public's help locating a pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run crash. On Saturday, Oct. 8, at approximately 8:45 p.m., a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash occurred at West Princeton Avenue and Hoffman Street, police said. A female pedestrian was entering her vehicle which was parked adjacent to the roadway on West Princeton Avenue, when a dark-colored pick-up truck struck her with the passenger side of their vehicle, causing injuries to her face, police said. A pedestrian sustained hip and facial injuries when she was struck by a sedan driven by a fellow Rockland County resident Monday morning in Park Ridge, authorities said. Police: Man Critical After Being Struck By Car In Morris County
A man struck by a car Sunday night in Morris County was listed in condition Monday, police said. The unidentified man was hit near of 87 Ridgedale Ave. in Morristown around 9:30 p.m., Lt. Stuart Greer said. The man was taken toMorristown Medical Center with traumatic head injuries Greer said.
