Woman, 89, Found Dead, Vehicle Running At Totowa Home, Carbon Monoxide Suspected An 89-year-old Totowa woman was found dead of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning at her home Saturday afternoon. A family member found Ethel Rosskopf unresponsive on the kitchen floor and a vehicle with its engine running in the garage of the home at Knollwood Road and Meadow Drive, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Totowa Police Chief Carmen Veneziano said in a joint announcement. Rosskopf was pronounced dead at the scene.  Authorities found the carbon monoxide level in the home at 200 parts per million, as opposed to the ordinary reading of 0 parts per million. "…

Out-Of-State Clifton Auto Shop Burglary Suspect's Alibi Doesn't Fly With Njsp Trooper An Arizona man stopped in the freezing rain by a New Jersey State Police trooper who was helping his Clifton colleagues search for an auto repair shop burglar claimed that he’d just gone out for a walk, authorities said. A computer check found an outstanding warrant, while a search of his pockets turned up some of the stolen items.
