Pedestrians Struck In Separate Hit-Run Crashes In Jersey Shore Town Two separate hit-and-run crashes involving pedestrians being struck took place within hours of each other on Sunday, Oct. 15 in Manchester Township.  The Manchester Township Police Department is actively investigating both incidents, urging the public's assistance in identifying the vehicles and drivers involved. Jersey Shore Man Convicted Of Threatening Woman, Burying Gun Under Deck: Prosecutor A 32-year-old man from Manchester has been convicted on a weapons offense in connection with threatening a woman with a gun, authorities said. Mark Britt was found guilty of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after a week-long trial, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. The jury concluded beyond a reasonable doubt that Britt used a handgun to threaten a woman at a residence they shared in Manchester Township, the prosecutor said. Police tried to stop a car about 10 a.m. Wednesday driven by Craig Orler of Jolson Court in Manchester, who is wanted on burglary and theft charges, Manchester police said in a statement. Orler was last seen in the area of Northampton Boulevard and the entrance to the Heritage Minerals property, police said.
