NJ Brothers With Syrian Roots Dish Up Some Of The Best Falafel In America You don't have to travel overseas for good falafel. Falafel Brothers in Brick was named to Yelp's list of 25 best falafel places in the U.S. -- ahead of National Falafel Day (Friday, June 12).  The Kwara family opened their first shop -- Ibby's Falafel -- in Jersey City in 1994. Then, they opened another one in Freehold in 2008.  That store closed but relocated to its current location in Brick, and is run by the five Kwara brothers: Nedal Kwara, Adnan Kwara, Rabie Kwara, Firas Kwara and Diaya Kwara  The brothers, whose parents moved to the U.S. from Syria in 1978 …
