Woman Struck By NJ Transit Train Suffers Severe Leg Injury: Officials A woman was hospitalized with a severe leg injury after being struck by a train in Morristown on Saturday, May 4, NJ Transit officials said. The woman was on the Morristown platform with the injury when responders arrived at the scene, just before 7:25 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. The woman was taken to the hospital by EMS. 21-Year-Old Man Killed By Train In North Jersey (Update) Officials have identified the victim of a fatal NJ Transit train strike as a 21-year-old man. Zain Bhatti, of Flanders, was struck by Morris & Essex Line train 6635 just after 3:30 p.m., just west of the Madison station (Morris County) on Tuesday, Nov. 7, NJ Transit officials said. Man Fatally Struck By NJ Transit Train In North Jersey A man was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train Tuesday, Nov. 7. The Morris & Essex Line train struck the man just west of the Madison station around 3:30 p.m., an NJ Transit official said. None of the 60 passengers on the train were hurt. The train had left Penn Station and was scheduled to arrive in Dover at 4:05 p.m. Rail service was experiencing an hour delay in both directions at 5:50 p.m., NJ Transit officials said.

Man, 29, Killed By NJ Transit Train A 29-year-old Union County man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train earlier this week in Essex County, officials said. Evan Krupp was struck by the Morris & Essex Line train near the Summit station around 1:20 p.m. Monday, July 24, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. The train had left Hackettstown just before noon and was set to arrive in Hoboken at 2 p.m., Mulumba said. No injuries were reported to the 45 passengers. The crash suspended service for several hours.

Girl Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train A girl was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train Tuesday in North Jersey. The Morris & Essex line train was heading to Dover in Morris County from New York Penn Station when it struck the girl at 12:15 p.m. in Maplewood, NJ Transit officials said. The incident occurred just west of the station.  Morris and Essex Line rail service was temporarily suspended due to this incident. New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation. Sources with direct knowledge of the incident told Daily Voice the girl was 14 years old.
