Driver Dies In Head-On Rt. 31 Crash In Hunterdon County: State Police (Update) A 56-year-old man was killed after his car collided with a truck on Route 31 in Hunterdon County on Monday, Nov. 27, state police said. Christopher Jones, of Hampton, was heading north in a Subaru when he entered the left lane going against the flow of traffic, and collided with a southbound Mack truck, head-on around 7:45 a.m. in Hampton near milepost 39, New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. Jones died in the crash while the driver and passenger of the Mack tractor suffered minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation.

The crash occurred at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 on the parkway southbound at milepost 87.5 in Toms River, according to Sgt. Philip Curry, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Mack dump truck was operating in the center median when it entered into the southbound travel lanes and was struck by a southbound traveling VW Touareg, Curry said.
