Bergen County Underdog Stuns Fighters With Unexpected Win At European MMA Competition
Edgardo Moran stood in the corner of the gym feeling like the underdog.
It was his first international trip and he was moments away from representing the USA in the International Tang Soo Do competition, held Nov. 11 and 12 in the Netherlands.

Anthony Giaquinto, whose roots in Bergen County's pizza scene run deep, has opened Fat Bastard and Sons at 434 Route 46, continuing a family legacy of pizzerias.
Giaquinto previously ran Tony G's in South Hackensack, The Balcony in Carlstadt, G Millz in Hoboken and Prime Time Sports Bar in Carlstadt.

Dr. Ahntu Vu, who died on Tuesday, April 18, after a diagnosis of Glioblastoma Multiforme, is being remembered for his love of the fine arts and his passion for his patients, according to his obituary.
Vu died surrounded by his family, including his parents Hoavien Yu and Emily Yo, his friends and his girlfriend, Louise, his obituary reads. Kristine Violante of Lyndhurst died suddenly on Sunday, Feb. 5, her obituary reads. She was 32 years old.
Kristine was a cosmetologist and certified veterinary technician who loved animals, her obit reads. She opened Fluffy & Fido, a pet care service, in 2018.
Violante's social media pages are peppered with photos of her snuggling with and walking animals.

Four Charged In Hoboken Street Fight That Went Viral (Update)
Four men are in hot water after authorities in Hoboken say they participated in a late-night brawl that went viral on social media in October of last year.
Joseph Cosenza was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, while an arrest warrant was issued for Samuel Sorce, 25, of Florham Park, in the Oct. 23 street fight on Hudson Street and Hudson Place, Hoboken police spokesperson Marci Rubin said.
Sorce is accused of conspiracy, aggravated assault, and endangering an injured person, police said.
