Parolee Who Ran Over Tow Yard Worker While Stealing Car Captured At NJ Hotel: US Marshals Members of the US Marshals Service captured a 34-year-old parolee who earlier this year ran over a tow yard worker while trying to steal a car, they said. Tyesha Smith, convicted in a 2014 robbery, ran over the employee at Hawk's Tow Yard in Trenton last February and has been wanted ever since, the US Marshals Service New York/ New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force said. She was arrested around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Red Roof Inn in Lawrence, a spokesman for the US Marshals said.

Disease-Causing Bacteria Found In Central Jersey Drinking Water Bacteria that causes a certain type of pneumonia was found in a majority of water samples from about 30 Central Jersey homes, authorities announced. Legionella bacteria — which causes Legionnaires' disease — was found in water samples collected from more than half of 30 homes within several municipalities served by Trenton Water Works (TWW), the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) said Saturday, Oct. 15.  The samples were taken from homes in Trenton, Ewing, and parts of Lawrence and Hopewell Township served by TWW. The ticket from Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing was purchased from Route 1 ShopRite in Edison. A third-tier ticket winning $10,000 was also sold at the Valero gas station on Route 17 N. in Mahwah.
