Police ID Driver, 23, Killed In South Brunswick Christmas Eve Morning Crash Police have identified the 23-year-old driver killed in a crash on Route 1 in South Brunswick. Vedant Tiru was in the left lane of Route 1 south near New Road when he lost control, slid sideways across the roadway, and struck a utility pole around 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, South Brunswick police said. Tiru was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kendall Park First Aid, Kendall Park Fire Department, Middlesex County Medical Examiner, and New Jersey State Department of Transportation responded to the crash. On Wednesday, May 31, at 5:35 a.m, South Brunswick police received a 9-1-1 call about a house on fire at 73 Kingsley Road in Kendall Park. Police found a working structure fire in the area of the garage, they said. Police confirmed that the house had been evacuated and that there were no pets inside.
