A judge refused to release a security company salesman from West Milford who’s charged with sexually assaulting a township woman. Austin Hopler sexually assaulted the woman -- who, like him, is 25 -- following an event at a local home last June 6, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and West Milford Township Police Chief James Devore alleged in a joint release. Authorities: Armed Intruder With Handcuffs Holds Women Hostage In West Milford
West Milford police nabbed a Pompton Lakes man as he fled a local home with handcuffs after holding two women at gunpoint Sunday afternoon, authorities said. Initial details were sketchy, however. Andrew Canning, 31, had stolen an item from a nearby residence when he confronted the women – one 45 and the other 20 – at a home off Beacon Hill Road and Manchester Lane, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. : Pennsylvania Driver Critical After Passaic County Tree Crash
A Pennsylvania driver was critically injured when her compact car struck a tree in West Milford during the Independence Day weekend, authorities confirmed Tuesday. The 32-year-old Bethel, PA resident was driving a 2006 Toyota Scion xB that crashed outside the Secluded Acres Horse Boarding farm on Union Valley Road shortly after 6 p.m., they said.
