Authorities ID Man Killed In Weekend Irvington Shooting Authorities have identified the 28-year-old victim of a weekend Irvington shooting. Ricky Alston, of Irvington, was shot on the 800 block of Stuyvesant Avenue Sunday, Nov. 22, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers said. Alston, formerly of Newark, was transported to Beth Israel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m., they said.
