Armed Robbers Held Victims Captive In NJ Hotel Bathroom: Police
Two men were arrested while one remains at large following an armed captivity and robbery of three victims in a Secaucus hotel room last month, authorities said. Nyshiem O. Inmon met with the three victims in their hotel room at the Aloft hotel on Harmon Meadow Boulevard, around 3 a.m. on Jan. 26, before Lyemel Summerville and another suspect barged in with handguns, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. NJ Attorney General: Man On Darkened Route 18 Struck, Killed By Police Car
A man was in the roadway when he was struck and killed on Route 18 by a police car before dawn Sunday, authorities confirmed. The East Brunswick officer was on duty and in uniform when the marked vehicle struck the man in front of the AAA Insurance center on the northbound highway at 3:35 a.m., Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Federal charges filed against 70 or so people identified as participating in the seizing of the U.S. Capitol building by a violent mob last week apparently are only the beginning, the country's top law enforcement official warned.
