A 36-year-old mom of seven and New Jersey native died when she was struck walking in a crosswalk last December in Harrisburg, PA. Six months later, police have determined that the driver responsible was both speeding and intoxicated when he struck her and another person. Nicole M. A convicted robber from Rockland who was armed with a loaded gun crashed his car on a Bergen County resident's lawn, left it there and was waiting for his mother to pick him up when a local police officer captured him, authorities said. Hakeem Gentles, 26, of Spring Valley was intoxicated when his car struck another in a Montvale driveway over the weekend, according to a police report. A 22-year-old Nanuet man was intoxicated when his speeding sports car slammed into a tractor-trailer in a horrific overnight crash on Route 17 in Paramus over the weekend, authorities said. Davil LaFontant was charged with aggravated assault, assault by auto and drug possession in the crash, which injured him and a 20-year-old female passenger, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Wednesday.
