Water Gushes As Crews Work To Repair Main Break (

A water main broke in Bridgewater on Friday, March 29, police said. The water main break happened at Route 28 and Garrettson Road, Bridgewater police said. New Jersey American Water is on scene and beginning repairs. Bridgewater police are asking people to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.

Trenton Doles Out COVID Pandemic 'Hazard Pay' For 1,000+ Public Workers
The City of Trenton issued a second paycheck this week for more than 1,000 municipal employees who worked during the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said. "Hazard pay" of up to $7,000 for any qualified public employee was distributed with regular paychecks on Thursday and Friday, a city spokesman said. Central Jersey Ferry To Manhattan Gets $5M Federal Boost
A $5 million federal grant to build a new ferry terminal in Middlesex County has been approved, officials said. Ferries would run between Raritan Bay and downtown Manhattan and be within walking distance of NJ Transit rail service. Bridges Along I-78 In Bedminster, Bridgewater To Be Replaced
The state Department of Transportation has begun work on replacing four bridges on I-78 in Bridgewater and Bedminster, a project that will take place in stages over the next three years in order to minimize traffic disruption, the agency said in a statement. The bridges, which DOT said are in poor condition, carry traffic eastbound and westbound over Rt. 202/206 and over Washington Valley Road.
