Daily Voice has obtained details in the scissor attack at a New Jersey motel that authorities say prompted officers to shoot a man over the weekend. According to the affidavit for probable cause, a woman told police she had met 42-year-old Christopher Serrano at the Hampton Inn in Old Bridge where Serrano "became disturbed," and accused her of talking to another man. Man Stabbed Woman With Scissors, Shot By Police In Central Jersey: Prosecutor
A 42-year-old Central Jersey man has been arrested for stabbing a woman with scissors at a hotel, authorities said. Old Bridge police shot the suspect after the stabbing incident at the Hampton Inn at about 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 3, authorities said. Christopher Serrano, 42, of Manalapan, is accused of stabbing a 55-year-old woman at the hotel at 300 Spring Valley Road, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. Authorities: Carlstadt Officer Not Fooled By Wanted Newark Driver Switching Seats
A wanted Newark man tried to avoid detection by switching seats with his passenger when a Carlstadt police officer stopped him for making an illegal turn, authorities said. The silver Nissan that illegally turned right off northbound Route 120 into the Hampton Inn parking lot also had tinted windows and an obstructed license plate when Officer Matthew Bartlett stopped it, Police Chief Thomas Berta said Monday.
