A 27-year-old Bayonne woman was fatally shot by her father late in the evening on Monday, June 12, authorities said. Errol Brown, 52, has been charged with murder on accusations he killed Keyanna Brown at 331 Avenue E., around 11:35 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Authorities have identified the victim of Hudson County's first homicide of 2022 as a 32-year-old man. Rasheen Bostick was found with a gunshot wound to the torso near Crescent and Belmont avenues in Jersey City around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. One person was left critical following a shooting in Central Jersey Sunday, authorities said. The male was found with a gunshot wound around 10:20 a.m. near Remsen Avenue and Seaman Street in New Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition. A 79-year-old Fort Lee retiree was hospitalized after he accidentally shot himself in the leg, authorities said. The victim was cleaning the weapon at his home in a high-rise overlooking Manhattan near Monument Park when it discharged shortly before 1 p.m. Monday, Capt. Edward Young said. Fort Lee Emergency Medical Services took him to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound in his lower left leg, Young said. An unidentified man was shot in Trenton, authorities said. A report of shots fired came in about 10 p.m. on Tuesday on the first block of North Hermitage Avenue, reports said. EMS crews took a man to Capital Health Regional Medical Center with gunshot wounds. The name of the victim and his condition were not immediately released. Toms River PD: Emotionally Disturbed Man Fired Gunshot
A 49-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday evening after firing a gunshot in Ocean County, authorities said. Preliminary investigation found an emotionally disturbed resident fired one shot into the air and fled the scene, Toms River police said. No one was hurt during the shooting, which occurred just before 6 p.m. He was subsequently located and taken to Community Medical Center for further evaluation, police said.
