A convicted killer who aimed to "flood the streets" of Trenton with a "motherlode" of heroin, Roberts, 53, was sentenced this week to what will be a minimum of 17 years in federal prison for his role in a drug ring that once dominated the capital city. : Fort Lee Flier, Newark Airport Employee Caught With Loaded Guns: TSA
TSA agents picked off two guns in a week's time when they caught both a traveler from Fort Lee and a woman who works in a terminal retail shop packing heat. Both weapons were loaded, said Transportation Security Administration Spokesperson Lisa Farbstein. The man was caught with a .380-caliber handgun in his duffle bag as he tried to board a flight on Friday, Aug. 25, Farbstein said. Jersey City Man Charged With Murder In Girlfriend's Death
A Jersey City man is facing murder and weapons charges in the August killing of his 22-year-old girlfriend, authorities said. Jaishawn Gaston, 26, was arrested on Sept. 15 at the prosecutor's office in Jersey City, when he surrendered with his attorney, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Gaston is accused of killing Francis Villa, who was found unconscious with a gunshot wound in a Forrest Street apartment around 6 p.m. on Aug. 31, Suarez said.
