Jogger Struck By Jersey City Police Car: Prosecutor A 44-year-old jogger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a police car in Jersey City earlier this week, authorities said. The police officer reported hitting the jogger near JErsey Avenue and Aetna Street while responding to a call around 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. 35-Year-Old Driver Dead In Route 78 Crash A 35-year-old man died after his vehicle overturned and struck a tree Friday on Interstate 78 in Somerset County. Stephan Tarnowsky was heading west when his Ford Crown Victoria went off the road and struck a tree around 11:15 a.m. near milepost 36.5, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. The Washington (Warren County) resident was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.

A victim was stopped by a man in a black, older model Ford Crown Victoria and activated a blue dome light on the front dashboard in Brick Township around 2 p.m. on Aug. 1, New Jersey State Police said.
