Woman Fatally Struck By Car In Jersey Shore Town
A woman was fatally struck by a car at the Jersey Shore overnight, authorities said. The woman, whose identity was not released as of press time, was struck at the intersection of Route 36 and Atlantic Street in Keyport, just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Former Cuomo Staffer Killed After Being Kicked Out Of Lyft
A 43-year-old man who was struck and killed by a car after being ordered out of a Lyft in Delaware over the weekend has been identified as one of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo's previous staffers. An argument broke out in the back of the car that Sid Wolf was riding in, and the Lyft driver stopped the car in the middle of the southbound lane on Coast Highway in Delaware, and demanded all six passengers get out around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, July 24, authorities said. Central Jersey Man, 40, Sentenced In DWI Crash That Killed 20-Year-Old Woman: Prosecutor
A 40-year-old man from Central Jersey has been sentenced to eight years in New Jersey state prison in connection with a fatal DWI crash, authorities said. Sergio Seixeiro of Monroe previously pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter, aggravated assault and assault by auto. Seixeiro also pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. The driver wanted in the crash that killed a beloved Jersey City police officer last summer has surrendered to authorities, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday. City resident Rafael Rodriguez-Rivera, 30, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Ford Escape when he struck JCPD Officer Morton Otundo on a Yamaha motorcycle on Communipaw Avenue around 2 a.m. on July 16, 2021, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Wallington Driver Killed In RR Trestle Crash
A Wallington driver was killed Saturday night when his mini-SUV slammed into a railroad trestle near the Wood-Ridge border. The 60-year-old victim's vehicle slammed into a concrete support on Main Avenue near Al Ventura Road at 8:41 p.m., Police Capt. Shawn Kudlacik said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Bergen County Prosecutor's Fatal Accident Investigations Unit joined borough police, firefighters and the Wallington Emergency Squad at the scene. The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence.
