Group Of Kids Threw Rocks At Man's Car Before He Was Stabbed 2X At NJ Mall Parking Garage: Cops A 56-year-old man was stabbed twice after a group of juveniles threw rocks and other objects at his car at a Hudson County mall, authorities said. Police said only that the man suffered two puncture wounds, one to his lower abdomen and another to the upper left side of his stomach, around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in a parking garage at Newport Centre in Jersey City. Possible Drowning Reported Along Jersey Shore First responders were called to a report of possible drowning along the Jersey shore, authorities said. The water emergency was called about 4 p.m. off 100th Street in Long Beach, according to initial reports.  An unconfirmed report said the elderly swimmer had been pulled from the water and that EMTs were trying to revive her. New Jersey authorities have been warning about rough seas all week.  On Monday, a swimmer in his 60s drowned in Lavallette and five other swimmers were rescued in Seaside Park, authorities said.

First responders were called to Route 37 and Coolidge Avenue in Toms River about 9 p.m. on Tuesday. SWAT Standoff Ends With Weapons Seized In Union Authorities said they seized several weapons after an hours-long SWAT standoff in Union ended peacefully Monday night. The home on Arnet Avenue off Morris Avenue was evacuated of family members in the standoff, which began around 7:40 p.m. with a report of a man armed with a shotgun barricaded inside, responders said. The Union County Emergency Response Team, which includes SWAT team members and negotiators, joined police, firefighters and EMTs.
