North Wildwood has begun $300,000 in emergency work to install a temporary sand dune, officials confirmed. The work follows $400,000 spent last month to install a steel bulkhead after damage by Tropical Storm Ophelia and Hurricane Ian, North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello said, noting the structure surrounds and protects beach patrol headquarters. A portion of Route 78 was closed for emergency construction and repairs, causing delays for rush-hour commuters on Thursday, August 17. The express lanes on the eastbound side east of Exit 29 to I-287/US 202/US 206 in Bridgewater were closed around 4:20 p.m., according to 511NJ. Missing Manhole Cover Causes Delays On Route 1 Central Jersey
Emergency construction and a missing manhole cover were causing delays on Route 1 in Middlesex County, authorities said. The problems were originally reported at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday,, March 16, by the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
