Child On Scooter Struck By Car In Middletown: Police
A 12-year-old boy on a scooter was struck by a car in Middletown, authorities said. On Thursday, June 16, at 2:02 p.m., the Middletown Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a car that struck a boy operating an electric scooter. The crash occurred the intersection of Cherry Tree Farm Road and Chanowich Court. The boy was transported to Hackensack Meridan Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune by ambulance. Scooter Rider Critically Injured In Passaic Crash
An electric scooter rider was clinging to life Tuesday morning after being struck in Passaic, responders said. Witnesses said the late-30s victim ran a red light and was struck by a minivan at the intersection of President and Parker Streets shortly after 10:30 a.m. He was unconscious when taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, responders said. The driver, meanwhile, remained at the scene and cooperated with police, who notified the Passaic County prosecutor's fatal accident team. City firefighters and EMS also responded.

: South Jersey Police Investigate Fatal Electric Scooter Crash
UPDATED: Authorities were investigating a crash in which a man riding an electric scooter in Burlington County was killed early Thursday. A man in his 30s was struck on Indel Avenue at Woodlane Road in Westampton about 6 a.m., according to initial reports. The victim's name had not been released. The man, who was reportedly thrown 100 feet from the impact, was pronounced dead at the crash scene, Westampton police said. The car's driver pulled over a short distance from the crash, police said.
