Authorities ID Jersey Shore Shooting Victim Authorities have identified the 34-year-old victim of a fatal shooting. Terrance D. Johnson-Simmons was found dead of a gunshot wound on Monday, Jan. 2 in Neptune Township, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. Police are investigating the case as a homicide. Teenager Arrested In Fatal Jersey Shore Shooting: Prosecutor A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. Dariel Vernet, 19, of Asbury Park was killed in the shooting, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey. The suspect's name was not released due to his age. He was charged with murder and two related weapons offenses, Linskey said. Gabriel Braithwaite, 19, of Keansburg and Jerod Dearin, 22, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen were both charged with two counts of first-degree murder and single counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, two related second-degree weapons offenses, and third-degree hindering apprehension, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
