Metuchen Man Charged After String Of Burglaries In Point Pleasant A 39-year-old man was charged Tuesday with criminal mischief and theft after burglaries were reported at a Point Pleasant gas station as well as near Bay Avenue, police said. Steven Lawson of Metuchen was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief linked to a burglary at the Conoco Gas Station on Route 88 in September 2019, Point Pleasant police said. Cash and merchandise were stolen from the Conoco Station, police said.
