A fingerprint lifted from a luxury SUV led Cliffside Park police to a Newark man who they said stole three high-end vehicles from the same home. Borough police said the owner not only didn't lock the Lamborghini Huracan, Mercedes G-Wagon and BMW X7. He told them he also left the key fobs inside one of the vehicles and the garage door open but fell asleep. Authorities recovered all three vehicles. Fort Lee police helped their Cliffside Park colleagues nab a reckless motorcyclist from Hudson County following a high-speed chase, authorities said Wednesday. Angelo Vargas, 21, and two other cyclists had just sped into town on separate 150cc street bikes when an officer in an unmarked car tried to stop them on Palisade Avenue at Walker Street shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Police Chief Vincent Capano said. A Bergen County sheriff’s officer helped Palisades Park police capture a pair of burglars who authorities said have been breaking into vehicles in East Bergen overnight. Sheriff’s Officer Michael Griffin was on patrol around 3 a.m. Saturday when he heard an alert and spotted borough resident Christopher Bueno, 22, and Dakota Cirelli, 19, of Elmwood Park on 10th Street. Prosecutor: Bergen Man Hijacked Biz Account, Ordered Phones, iPads
An unemployed Cliffside Park man hijacked a business account to order a pile of cellphones and iPads that he then had delivered to his apartment, said authorities who busted him and his roommate. Stephen K. Frazier, 29, caught the attention of Sprint, which “reported a possible take-over of a business account,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
