Two men wanted for beating attendants during a two-day spree of quick-stop armed gas station robberies in three New Jersey counties were captured by federal agents, authorities said. Ex-con Ahmad Singletary, 24, and Joseph Young, 26, both of Newark, committed three of the robberies last Sept. 5, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said. Bernardsville Driver Dies After Medical Episode On Route 287: State Police
A 53-year-old Bernardsville man died after suffering a medical episode on Route 287 in Morrison County on Tuesday, Jan. 2, New Jersey State Police said. At 5:10 p.m., troopers responded to the southbound side at milepost in 38 in Hanover Township and found the driver of a Chevy pickup, who has not been identified, having the medical emergency, Trooper Troy McNair said. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, McNair said.

A Freightliner driver was hospitalized after being rear-ended by an SUV in a crash that closed a portion of Route 80 closed for several hours on Tuesday morning, Dec. 26, state police said. The crash occurred on the westbound side near milepost 22.4 in Allamuchy just before 8 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair told Daily Voice. Two Ocean County men were arrested for lighting a fire in a women's restroom and spray-painting swastikas around a public park, authorities said. Alexander Gerber, 19, and Connor Dougherty, 20, both of Lacey Township, are facing arson charges for the fire in the women's restroom in Gille Park on Nov. 21, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Dump Truck Flips On Garden State Parkway:

A dump truck overturned on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 northbound at Exit 105 in Tinton Falls, according to the New Jersey State Police. Preliminary investigation revealed a Kenworth dump truck, Audi and Chevy pickup were traveling northbound. The Kenworth overturned and collided with the Audi and Chevy. No serious injuries were reported, State Police said. The crash remains under investigation.

An Englewood man faces 30 years to life in prison after jurors in Hackensack convicted him of murder for a second time for shooting an aspiring rapper and then setting his body on fire. Car Carrier Erupts In Flames On NJ Turnpike
A car carrier that burst into flames jammed the NJ Turnpike Tuesday, Nov. 8 in Essex County. Three Cadillac Escalades, a Cadillac XT6 and a Chevy Equinox were damaged in the blaze in the right shoulder of the northbound side of the eastern spur near milepost 107.5 around 12:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police said. Newark firefighters put out the fire, which was deemed non-suspicious, authorities said. No injuries reported.

A man has been charged with murder in the death of a 39-year-old woman whom he said died of rough sex before he panicked and burned her body, according to the Trentonian and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
