A South Jersey police chief has been placed on "restricted duty" after being slapped with a DWI charge in a crash, then leaving the scene of the accident, NJ Advance Media reports. Brian Pesce, chief of the Bordentown Township Police Department, was behind the wheel of a maroon pickup truck when he was involved in an accident at the intersection of Terrapin Lane and Bruin Drive in Hamilton Township, around 10:25 p.m. Friday, April 22, according to NJ.com's report. A 25-year-old Trenton man was arrested with the equivalent of 50 doses of heroin wedged in his buttocks, authorities said. Five men and two juveniles have been arrested on child porn charges, authorities in Burlington County announced. The new defendants join 46 people apprehended for similar crimes as part of an investigation launched by the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office during the COVID-19 pandemic called "Operation Safe Quarantine." Motorcyclist Killed, 2 Others Hurt In South Jersey Crashes
One motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured in separate crashes early Sunday morning in Burlington County, authorities said. Alexander Halsey, 45, of Forked River was heading north on Route 206 with a group of motorcyclists near the Comfort Inn Hotel in Bordentown when he lost control of his 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle just before 12:30 p.m., Bordentown police said.
