Man Critical After Setting Himself On Fire In Atlantic City, Police Say A man who set himself on fire overnight in Atlantic City was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The 24-year-old Somers Point man was found with severe burns by police on the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight, police said. An attendant from the gas station used a fire extinguisher to put the flames out. Armed Robber Tied Up Atlantic City Mini-Mart Clerk, Police Say An armed robber was chased and captured after tying up a store clerk in Atlantic City, authorities said. At 2:31 p.m. on Tuesday, patrol officers responded to the Super Mini Mart in the 2300 block of Atlantic Avenue for a panic alarm.  Sergeant TJ Moynihan arrived and found that the store clerk had been robbed at knife point. The suspect had stolen money and other items and used tape from the store to bind the clerk’s hands together before fleeing, police said.
