Rutherford, New Milford Porch Pirate Flees Out Bus Window, Captured, Police Say A repetitive porch pirate who’d just swiped packages from a Rutherford resident’s home fled out the window of an NJ Transit bus in Passaic before police captured him, authorities said. Anthony Mendoza, 39, of East Rutherford was previously charged last month with stealing packages in New Milford and was suspected in others in that borough, as well as in Bergenfield and Wyckoff. New Milford PD: Porch Pirate Tied To More Than Dozen Thefts In Town, Bergenfield, Wyckoff New Milford police arrested a porch pirate linked to 10 different thefts in town, as well as others in Bergenfield and Wyckoff, authorities said. Detective Sgt. Nelson Perez was following up Tuesday on a theft from a Boulevard home the day before when he spotted a car that matched one seen on surveillance video in connection with that theft, Detective Lt.
