SUV Rollover In Ho-Ho-Kus Damages Pole, Trees
The driver of a Lexus SUV escaped injury during a Tuesday afternoon rollover crash on Werimus Road in Ho-Ho-Kus that damaged a utility pole and several trees. Sedan Slams Into Mini-Van, Utility Pole In Hillsdale
An elderly driver was hospitalized with injuries that police said weren't life-threatening after his car hit a minivan and then slammed into a utility pole in Hillsdale late Saturday. Driver Hospitalized After Sedan Slams Into Ridgewood Utility Pole
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- A young driver was hospitalized Monday afternoon after her new sedan slammed into a utility pole in Ridgewood. An ambulance took the woman to Hackensack University Medical Center after the crash in the 400 block of Linwood Avenue. Her injuries didn't appear life-threatening. The 4-door 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited had to be towed. Village police, firefighters and EMS responded, along with a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and a PSE&G crew that assessed damage to the pole. Boyd A. PARAMUS, N.J. -- An SUV slammed head-on into a utility pole on northbound Route 17 in Paramus early Wednesday evening, sending the driver to the hospital and a transformer into a nearby parking lot. Traffic in both directions was slowed considerably near Kalisa Way until the wrecked Nissan Rogue could be removed by flatbed tow truck. An ambulance took the driver to Hackensack University Medical Center with undetermined injuries. UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- (UPDATE) A box truck slammed into a utility pole on northbound Route 17 in Upper Saddle River early Saturday night, igniting a chain reaction that kept the highway closed for hours. The pole snapped in half, downing wires across the highway -- which fell onto a tour bus and Jeep in the southbound lanes. No serious injuries were immediately reported in the crash near Lake Street, which also involved a tractor-trailer jack-knifing. Traffic remained detoured at Allendale Avenue past 10:30 p.m., more than 5½ hours after the incident.

No One Injured After Oak Slams Into River Edge House
RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- No one was home when a tree crashed onto a River Edge home, downing power lines. More than 500 customers were temporarily without power after another transformer exploded moments after the oak toppled Friday night onto the neighbor's, taking a utility pole with it. Hazmat teams from Bergen County and New Milford joined borough police and firefighters at the Park Avenue house across from Lincoln Avenue.
