Flooding Shuts Roads Across New Jersey: Here's Where
Flooding and heavy rain closed roads across New Jersey Saturday, March 23. According to the National Weather Service, the heaviest part of the storm may have passed. The flooding, however, has not. In Hasbrouck Heights, where Route 17 was closed, police pulled multiple drivers from their vehicles, Chief Rinke said. Members spent the past several hours rescuing over 20 trapped motorists from their vehicles in Heights and throughout Teterboro. Two lucky New Jersey lottery players won prizes in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, state Lottery officials said. There were two third-tier prizewinning tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn to win $10,000 prizes apiece. : Boy, 17, Killed By Train In Edison Was Local High School Student
A 17-year-old Edison boy who was killed when he was struck by a commuter train Tuesday was identified as a local high school junior. Aditya Tejaswi was a member of the Class of 2021, officials at St. Joseph High School in Metuchen said. "It is always a sad day when a member of our Saint Joseph High School faith community is suddenly and tragically taken from us," they said in a notice to families.
