A 22-year-old Paterson convict paroled from state prison amid last year's COVID pandemic could be facing much more serious time after authorities said he shot an innocent bystander during a robbery earlier this month. Ambulance Crashes In Passaic
An ambulance headed to a call Thursday afternoon collided with a Jeep in Passaic. City firefighters had to pop the door to rescue two St. Clare's Health Systems EMTs after airbags deployed in the crash on Passaic Avenue near the Main Avenue intersection shortly after 1:30 p.m. Both were taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center with injuries that police said weren't considered life-threatening. Passaic Driver, 66, Trapped After High Winds Topple Tree
A Passaic driver was hospitalized after what became an extended operation after Monday's high winds knocked a huge tree onto his car. The 66-year-old wagon driver was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center after the mishap at Passaic Avenue and Boulevard shortly after 10 a.m. Electric saws, a wood chipper and other equipment were summoned as firefighters extricated him.
