A former school bus driver was sentenced to a plea-bargained 10 years in prison Wednesday for causing a crash that killed a Paramus teacher and student in 2018 on Route 80 in Morris County. Hudy Muldrow, 79, formerly a bus driver for the Paramus School District, must serve at least five years and nine months before he is eligible for parole, under the terms of his plea agreement with Morris County prosecutors. Paramus Schools Chief Reaches Out To Parents After Judge Releases Fatal Bus Crash Video
Paramus district officials immediately reached out to parents after learning that a judge ordered New Jersey State Police to release a traffic camera video of a May bus crash that killed a borough middle school student and one of her teachers. Daily Voice won't be publishing the video out of concern for its readers. Gannett Co., the parent company of NorthJersey.com., sued for access to the video -- recorded by a state Department of Transportation traffic camera -- after State Police refused. In a message to readers on Friday, Gannett wrote: "Our reasons were twofold: As journalists, we m…

Paramus Schools Chief: We Didn't Know Crash Driver Had Moving Violations
Paramus Schools Supt. Michele Robinson insisted the district wasn't aware that the school bus driver involved in a crash that killed a middle school student and teacher last month had an extensive history of violations behind the wheel. She also demanded that North Jersey Media Group publish a correction to “blatantly inaccurate” reporting. “As I have said repeatedly, we do not have any information from the state that [Hudy] Muldrow [Sr.] had any moving violations,” Robinson wrote in a letter to parents. “The driving abstract provided to us by the Motor Vehicle Commission did not reflect t…
