Police from multiple jurisdictions converged on one of North Jersey's newest Amazon warehouses after a parking lot dispute between two drivers early Tuesday escalated into an assault involving a machete. A Woodland Park driver charged in the hit-and-run death of a 31-year-old borough woman is an ex-con with a lengthy rap sheet, including an assault arrest in Hackensack just the other day, Daily Voice has found. Abdullah Parker, 57, was charged with vehicular homicide in the Oct. 15 death of Lillian Zamlout as she walked in the area of McBride Avenue and Hughes Place in town. Authorities: Self-Inflicted Gunshot At Woodland Park Range Appears Deliberate
A 40-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Woodland Park shooting range, authorities confirmed. Initial indications are that it was deliberate, they said. The Stamford, CT victim and his girlfriend were at the Gun For Hire range on McBride Avenue when "the boyfriend put his gun under his chin and pull the trigger," a ranking law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity told Daily Voice. Police: Woodland Park School Board Candidate Busted For DWI
A candidate who finished out of the running in this week’s Woodland Park school board election was charged with DWI last month after registering more than twice the legal limit on a blood-alcohol test, police records show. Officer Justin Castro said in a police report that he spotted a four-door 2017 Ford driven by Jason Snyder, 27, just before midnight Oct. 5.
