Thief Who Stole $1.5M Worth Of Luxury Cars In NJ, Rockland, Long Island, CT Gets 3½ Years
𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: The last of four men who admitted stealing more than $1.5 million worth of luxury cars in New Jersey, Rockland County, Long Island and Connecticut was sentenced to nearly 3½ years in federal prison.
Malik Baker, 30, of Vauxhall, and his three co-conspirators stashed at least 10 of the vehicles at a central location in Irvington, NJ, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip Sellinger said.

Ring Member Admits Snatching $1.5M Worth Of High-End Vehicles In NJ, Rockland, CT, Long Island
The last of four men caught stealing more than $1.5 million worth of luxury cars in New Jersey, Rockland County, Long Island and Connecticut took a guilty plea on Thursday, federal authorities announced.
Like his pals, Malik Baker, 29, of Vauxhall, NJ, took a deal from the government, pleading guilty in federal court in Newark on Oct. 19 to conspiring to transport stolen vehicles in interstate commerce and receiving a stolen vehicle that had crossed state lines after being stolen.
U.S. District Judge Esther Salas scheduled Baker's sentencing for March 7, 2024.

Tornado Watches, Warnings Issued Across Parts Of NJ
Several parts of New Jersey were under tornado watches and warnings, as per the National Weather Service on Saturday, April 1.
Burlington and Mercer counties were under a tornado warning until 7:15 p.m., while parts of Browns Mills, Fort Dix, Hamilton Square, Marlton, West Freehold and White Horse were under the warning until between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m.

A Delaware man is accused of stealing up to $200,000 in jewelry in an interstate crime spree that stretched the mid-Atlantic, federal authorities say.

A South Jersey man put a box cutter to the neck of an Atlantic City slot machine player during an attempted robbery, then fled after the would-be victim fought back, authorities said.
Shawn P. Applewhite, 25, of Marlton, demanded the victim’s money and jewelry, but he stood up and fought him off, an indictment returned by a state grand jury in Trenton says.

Duck Donuts is opening its first Bergen County store.
The made-to-order doughnut chain is opening a location at Sprout Brook Center in Paramus, BoozyBurbs reports.
Native to Duck, North Carolina, Duck Donuts lets customers design their own vanilla cake doughnuts from a variety of toppings, drizzles and glazes.
This will be New Jersey's sixth Duck Donuts store, with locations in Middletown, Avalon, Plainfield, Clark, Green Brook and Marlton. No word yet on an opening date.
