A gunman opened fire on the 400 block of Leslie Street near Chancellor Avenue around 7:40 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Miesha Robinson was off-duty from her job at the Northern State Prison when police responded to Leslie Street near Chancellor Avenue around 1:30 p.m. last Saturday, on reports of a stabbing, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F.
