A bomb threat that evacuated New Jersey City University was deemed unfounded, officials said. The Jersey City campus on JFK Boulevard was cleared the morning of Friday, July 8, with classes cancelled. An investigation by city police "found nothing suspicious," and the campus returned to normal operations as of noon, according to a statement on the university's website. An 83-year-old woman was seriously injured in Jersey City's latest hit-and-run crash, authorities said. The woman was crossing JFK Boulevard at Harrison Avenue when she was hit by a vehicle around 7:20 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The driver was in a red or maroon vehicle and fled the scene, Suarez said. Meanwhile, the victim was in critical condition at Jersey City Medical Center. : Man Shot In Jersey City, Runs Inside Pizzeria
A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in Jersey City. The man was reportedly struck three times on Danforth Avenue and then ran inside of a JFK Boulevard pizzeria, around 3:10 p.m., sources told Daily Voice. A handgun was recovered and shell casings found at the scene, sources said. The man was treated for non life-threatening gunshot wounds to the leg, sources said. This is a developing story. School Bus Carrying 12 Children Crashes In Jersey City
A school bus carrying a dozen students struck a parked car Monday morning in Jersey City. The privately-owned bus was parked near Stuyvesant Avenue and JFK Boulevard when it rolled into a parked vehicle around 10:10 a.m., city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. None of the students, ages 10 and 11, were injured. The driver of the other vehicle, however, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, Wallace-Scalcione said.

: One Dead In Jersey City Crash, Two Seriously Injured
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and Jersey City police are conducting an investigation of a fatal crash involving multiple vehicles in Jersey City Friday. The prosecutor's office said one man is dead and two other people suffered serious injuries. The names of the victims were not released. The deceased man was identified later Friday as a 35-year-old Jersey City resident.
