Gunfire rang out during a home football game, authorities said. Detectives are investigating a shooting near Cherry Hill High School West, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Acting Cherry Hill Police Chief Larry Robb. The gunplay occurred Friday at 8:47 p.m. in the residential area of Fulton and Weld streets -- close to the football complex, they said. NJ Daycare Worker Accused Of Abusing 6 More Children
A New Jersey daycare worker previously accused of assaulting two babies was found to have abused six others, authorities announced on Wednesday. Maggie Fruit, 21, of Somerdale, was charged with attempted murder and child endangerment for assaulting two one-year-old children on July 15 at the Forever Young Daycare in Lindenwold, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Prosecutor: South Jersey Police Officer Illegally Pepper-Sprayed Suspects
A Camden County police officer has been forced to quit his public job after illegally using pepper spray on two suspects, authorities said. The former Woodlynne police officer pleaded guilty on Thursday to a charge stemming from a June use-of-force incident, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer. Ryan Dubiel, 32, of Wenonah in Gloucester County, admitted to one count of simple assault against two victims, Mayer said.
