Residents Hospitalized With Burns In Paterson Fire Two residents suffered burns in a mid-afternoon fire that ravaged a Paterson home, responders said. Temperatures broke 90 and the heat index reached triple figures Sunday during the fast-moving upper-floor blaze at the 2½-story wood-frame house on Madison Avenue. Firefighters were forced into an exterior attack about 45 minutes after they arrived. A neighboring home was also damaged in the three-alarmer. Update: Elmwood Park Toddler Burned By Hot Tea OK, Mom Says UPDATE: An Elmwood Park toddler was hospitalized with burns Wednesday morning after accidentally knocking a cup of hot tea onto himself at the kitchen table, Police Chief Michael Foligno said. "My baby is fine," the boy's mother said. "It was an accident."  The boy -- only a month short of 2 years old -- was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after being injured around 9 a.m. at Washington Avenue and Mola Boulevard, Foligno said. A medical chopper was initially requested and then canceled in favor of an ambulance.
