Newark Woman Cut Victim With Knife, Damaged Car With Baseball Bat, Police Say Police in Newark are turning to the public in locating a woman who they say damaged a vehicle with a baseball bat and cut one of the car's occupants with a knife. Laura Harrell, 26, of Newark, is wanted for aggravated assault following the March 27 incident, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. A young girl was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday morning after she was hit by a vehicle on a Newark street, authorities said.  The victim, believed to be 3 years old, was struck shortly before 10 a.m. near Brookdale Avenue and 18th Avenue in the Vailsburg section, they said.
