Getting A Real ID In NJ Just Got Easier, Sherrill Says: Here's Why More than 300,000 additional New Jersey residents have obtained REAL IDs in the first four months of Gov. Mikie Sherrill's administration, according to an announcement made Thursday, June 4. The number of New Jersey residents with a REAL ID has increased from about 2.2 million at the start of the administration to more than 2.5 million today, representing a 12.5% increase, state officials said.
