Hospital staff tried to resuscitate the child, who was in cardiac arrest as police escorted the ambulance from the home on Forest Avenue in Rochelle Park shortly after 1:30 p.m. Hackensack and Maywood police assisted in clearing a path. Update: Drowning Baby Pulled From Backyard Paramus Pool Transferred To Mount Sinai UPDATE: A 1-year-old boy was clinging to life after his mother pulled him from their backyard pool in Paramus, authorities said. Officers rushed to an emergency call at the Beechwood Drive home shortly before 7 p.m. Monday and found the woman conducting CPR, responders said. The officers took over the life-saving measure for about 20 minutes, they said.
