Official: Student Conduct At East Rutherford HS 'Out Of Control'

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- At a Wednesday-night school board meeting, a teachers union rep brought up incidents of student behavior at Becton Regional High School -- and board members defended administrative responses, according to The Record.

Prominent examples of the bad behavior included multiple swastikas on walls and defecation on the bathroom floor and urinal, The Record reported. Board president Raymond Muszynski told union president Jason Kuhns that Kuhns didn't know what discipline had been taken.

The contentiousness between teachers and the board has shown up in other ways, too, The Record reported. Bechton teacher Robert DiDomenico recently filed a whistleblower case against the district, alleging retaliation and harassment for reporting certain actions.
