East Rutherford Students Honor Local Veterans

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Eighth graders at the Alfred S. Faust school in East Rutherford presented a Veterans Day program to members of the local VFW.

The honors English class sang patriotic songs and thanked the veterans with poetry and slideshows. 

The program concluded with touching biographies composed by the students. The veterans were treated to a reception with the students and staff.

Veterans Day is celebrated Nov. 11 in honor of those who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States and gives Americans the opportunity to celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of all U.S. veterans.
