Route 17 Reopens After Early-Morning Car Fire In East Rutherford

A portion of Route 17 was closed early Tuesday, Aug. 6 after a vehicle erupted in flames.

The East Rutherford Fire Department extinguished the fire that destroyed a Mazda sedan in the northbound lanes outside of the Lowe's complex around 8 a.m.

There did not appear to be any injuries.
