Egypt Plans To Sue East Rutherford Over Variance

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Egyptian government is suing the Borough of East Rutherford for denying it a use variance to house dignitaries at a $1.7 million

Jersey Street property it purchased in 2014, reports northjersey.com.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment said Egypt's plans for the building at 4 Jersey St. aren’t in line with the property's prior non-conforming use, according to northjersey.com.

Egypt is using the building for its mission to the United Nations and the expansion plans include creating 20 bedrooms, reports northjersey.com.
