East Rutherford Mayor James Cassella and District 36 Chairman Joe Crifasi led the proceedings, with over 150 of Brizzi’s friends, family and local business owners attending.
“It was truly an honor,” Brizzi said. “Serving the Borough of East Rutherford is a labor of love. When you love what you, do it’s not work.”
Brizzi also presented Jamie Plosia, son of the late Mayor James L. Plosia, with a plaque in appreciation of his father’s leadership, dedication and mentoring to both the borough and the councilman during the event.
Brizzi and his running mate, Councilman Mike Homaychak, are both up for re-election this November.
