Seen HIM? Carlstadt PD Seeks Man Who Beat, Robbed Uber Driver

CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Carlstadt police turned to the public for help Wednesday in trying to identifiy an Uber passenger who they said beat and robbed the driver.

"He's white light blonde hair and huge tattoo on his right hand," Detective Sgt. John Cleary told Daily Voice. "He’s young -- early 20s, at best."

The suspect and an unidentified friend shared an Uber ride from Mother’s Ale House in Wayne on March 12, Clearly said.

Both jumped the driver after the first occupants were dropped off in Carlstadt, and the blonde suspect took his cellphone and wallet after beating him, the sergeant said.

The pair then fled, he said.
