The robber was wearing a dark hoodie under a Yankee jacket when he entered the Park Avenue pharmacy at 4 a.m. Friday, gave the cashier “a handwritten note demanding all of the money in the register and flashed a portion of a handgun in his front sweatshirt pocket,” Police Chief John R. Russo said.
After collecting the cash and smokes, he ran south on Park Avenue, the chief said.
“There were no injuries reported and no other shoppers in the store at the time,” he added.
Russo described the robber as black of Hispanic, about 5-foot-8 and somewhere between 200 to 230 pounds.
He asked that anyone who saw something or has information that could help the investigation contact his detectives: (201) 460-3050.
