After getting no response, he tried the doorknob, then walked around to the back, where he forced open the rear door with his hip.

The burglar “targeted the second-floor bedroom and office,” then headed to the kitchen, Garner said.

He was removing removing prescription medications from a kitchen cabinet when the homeowners interrupted him.

Then he took off out the front door and fled on foot toward Park Avenue, the detective told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

He’s described as in his 40s, with short hair and wearing a black jacket with a gray hood under it and a gray knit cap, light blue jeans, white sneakers and black gloves with white markings on it.

He also had a small black bag attached to his right hip.
